The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, with Rohit Sharma as captain and Shubman Gill as vice-captain.

- Jasprit Bumrah: Included in the squad, with his participation subject to fitness clearance. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar stated, “We are waiting on Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness and will know his status in early February from BCCI’s medical team.”
- Mohammed Shami: Returns to the ODI squad for the first time since the 2023 World Cup, having recovered from an ankle injury that required surgery.
- Yashasvi Jaiswal: Earns his maiden ODI call-up, providing an additional option at the top of the order.
Notable Omissions:
- Sanju Samson: Despite being part of recent squads, he has been left out, with Rishabh Pant taking the wicketkeeper role.
- Mohammed Siraj: The pacer has not been included in the squad, with the selectors opting for a combination of experience and youth in the fast-bowling department.
Additional Notes:
- The same squad will face England in a three-match ODI series prior to the Champions Trophy. Given Bumrah’s fitness concerns, Harshit Rana has been included for the England series as a precautionary measure.
- India will commence their Champions Trophy campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh in Dubai.
