Neil Cavuto, a veteran anchor and business journalist, has announced his departure from Fox News after a distinguished 28-year tenure. Joining the network at its inception in 1996, Cavuto became a prominent figure, hosting programs such as “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on Fox News and “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” on Fox Business Network.
On December 19, 2024, Cavuto revealed his decision to leave during his show “Your World,” expressing gratitude to his colleagues and viewers. He humorously referenced his health challenges, including multiple sclerosis, heart surgery, and battles with COVID-19, stating, “I might’ve missed a day or two here or there.”
Fox News acknowledged Cavuto’s significant contributions, stating, “Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism, and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with FOX News Media.”
Cavuto’s departure comes after he declined a contract renewal offer from the network. His current programs will feature rotating anchors until permanent replacements are announced.
Throughout his career, Cavuto was known for his balanced reporting and occasionally clashed with political figures, including President-elect Donald Trump. Despite health challenges, he remained dedicated to journalism and has indicated plans to continue in the field.
